I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at Worcester State University. My work focuses on American politics. My first book examined the racial rhetoric of American presidents by analyzing re-election year speeches from 1964 to 2016.
I received my Ph.D. in American Politics from The New School for Social Research. I also hold a MA in Secondary Education from Lehman College and a MA in Political Theory from New York University.
Before joining the faculty at Worcester State, I was Lecturer of Political Science at Merrimack College and Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wheaton College (MA). I have also taught courses at Lehman College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, and Eugene Lang.
I have taught a wide variety of courses, such as Campaigns and Elections, Constitutional Law, The American Presidency, and Radical Politics. A more comprehensive list can be found on my CV.
My current research is focused on political campaigns, political communication, educational politics, and issues of public health.
